Are There Possible Side Effects?
Consult your doctor immediately if you face any of these side effects while using Fioricet- an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives) . Liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe fatigue), slow, weak breathing low blood sugar (fatigue, increased hunger or thirst, dizziness, or fainting) blood problems (easy or unusual bleeding or bruising). These side effects of Fioricet are very rare and are not likely to occur during proper treatment with Fioricet.

The authenticity of ORTHO EVRA has been proved through more than 70,000 clinical trials and they have been tested worldwide in more than 3,300 women. The most frequent adverse events leading to discontinuation in 1.0% to 2.4% of women included nausea and/or vomiting, application site reaction, breast symptoms, headache, and emotional lability.

What About Interactions With Other Drugs?
Do not take Fioricet if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the last 14 days. Dangerous side effects of the medication could result in such conditions. Fioricet may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, sedatives (used to treat insomnia), other pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and muscle relaxants.

What If I Miss A Dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it but skip it in case it is the time to take the next dose. Take the next scheduled dose in such a situation. Do not take double doses of Fioricet.

How Should It Be Stored?

Store Fioricet below 86° F (30° C); dispense in a tight container, keep the medication away from moisture and heat.



Anything Else I Should Know?

Be cautious while driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. The medication will cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid these activities. Avoid sleeping pills, antihistamines, sedatives, and tranquilizers except under the supervision of your doctor. These may also make you drowsy. Avoid alcohol. Alcohol taken during therapy with acetaminophen and butalbital can be very damaging to your liver and can increase drowsiness and dizziness.
